SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
POST-SECONDARY / COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS
Boulder County Fair Junior Livestock Sale Committee Scholarship – Due May 1, 2024
Must have sold a project in the Boulder County Fair Junior Livestock Sale for three years.
Must be a high school senior or a full-time student at an accredited college or university.
Must have a minimum GPA of 2.5
Must complete the scholarship application with additional application requirements and submit supporting documents to jrlivestocksale.bcf@gmail.com by May 1, 2024.
Must provide the most recent high school or college transcript.
An interview may be requested.
One $1,000 Jerry Hergenreder Memorial Scholarship will be awarded (essay required). Additional general scholarships will be awarded at the committee's discretion.
Awarded scholarships will be mailed directly to the college or university that the applicant is planning to attend.
Scholarship must be used within one year of receiving the award.

BEN LANGER
2023 Junior Livestock Sale Scholarship Recipient
Ben Langer is a Sophomore at Montana State University where he aspires to complete his undergraduate degree, attend law school and feels called to give back by providing legal services to veterans in need.
His participation in 4-H gave him valuable life lessons which contributed to many achievements, including the honor roll and positions of leadership. Through 4-H, Ben also learned about patience, responsibility for animals and people, respect, personal finance, the importance of volunteering and giving back to the community. Ben wishes to express his thanks to the 4-H community and all those that support it.

2023 Jerry Hergenreder Boulder County Fair Junior Livestock Sale Memorial Scholarship
Ava Wright is a 2023 graduate and currently serves as an ambassador for the Boulder County Fair and Livestock Show as Fair Queen. Ava is passionate about agriculture, western culture, horses and reading. Through 4-H, Ava has participated in a variety of activities, including animal shows, cake decorating, show judging and held the positions of Vice President and President of her 4-H club on numerous occasions. Ava will be attending Tarleton State University in Texas, where she will study Agricultural Communications and Animal Science Business, and will also be competing on the stock horse team.
