Neighborhood Groups & Regional branches
Boston DSA spans all of Eastern Massachusetts (east of Worcester County), other than Cape Cod. Because Boston DSA has a large territory, some cities and neighborhoods within it have their own elected leadership, mailing lists, campaigns, and discussion groups to focus on local issues. All members of these regional branches and neighborhood groups are members of Boston DSA.
Regional Branches: Merrimack Valley, North Shore, South Shore, MetroWest, Waltham
Neighborhood Groups: East Boston/Chelsea, Medford/Malden, Somerville, Allston/Brighton, Brookline, Dorchester/Roxbury, Jamaica Plain/West Roxbury/Roslindale
Contact the Membership Committee at membership@bostondsa.org to get plugged into your neighborhood group or regional branch.

Dorchester: Families in Dorchester, Roxbury, Roslindale, and Mattapan are under constant threats ranging from food insecurity, evictions, climate change, and police surveillance. Email dorchester@bostondsa.org to learn about what is going on in your community and how you can get involved!
East Boston:
Cambridge: Join other DSA members that live or work in Cambridge to talk about what's happening in the city and get to work on our chapter's priorities with your socialist neighbors. In November 2021 one of our two chapter-endorsed candidates returned to the Cambridge City Council, where we hope to support municipal policies that are in line with a socialist vision for the city including real tenant protections, decommodified housing, public transportation, and an emerging non-police emergency response program. DSA boasts over 400 members in Cambridge. Get to know that DSA neighbor just down the street or in your building and let's build power for a socialist future together! Email cambridge@bostondsa.org for more information, or visit our monthly meeting, first Wednesday of the month at 5pm: https://actionnetwork.org/campaigns/cambridge-dsa-monthly-meeting
Somerville
Waltham: The Waltham Democratic Socialists of America is a neighborhood group of the Boston DSA. We exist to provide a home for socialists in Waltham to learn, grow, and organize. We work to address the material concerns of working class families in Waltham. Check out https://www.walthamdsa.org and email waltham@bostondsa.org for more information.
MetroWest: MetroWest Democratic Socialists of America (MWDSA) is a neighborhood group of Boston DSA. We welcome DSA members, the DSA curious, and socialists in the Boston MetroWest area. We are committed to a socialist future. At our general meetings, we share ideas for activism, plan events and direct actions, host guest speakers, and coordinate action with coalition partners and allies. Our work includes engagement in housing justice, immigrant rights, political education, and the broader socialist platform. We meet in-person (hybrid with Zoom) monthly at the Framingham Public Library or only over Zoom, depending on pandemic conditions. Please find us on Facebook, at https://metrowest-left.org/, or e-mail us at metrowest@bostondsa.org.
