Graduates of Bachelor of Leadership for Change will make a difference in communities and organisations in a wide range of roles including roles that might be hybrids of current roles or those that haven’t been thought of yet.
Our programme is for you who wish to be change makers and enterprising leaders with a creative edge and a global mindset.
The degree is structured around highly personalised projects and placements designed for immediate real world impact. Graduates will be prepared to develop personal mastery to navigate a career in a changing world of opportunities, with a portfolio of work, networks and experiences to be immediately employable.
For game changers who want more than a job. This is for big thinkers and doers who want to create meaningful and positive change.
The learners for Leadership for Change have been described in terms of 13 personas, validated through extensive consultation.
1. The main target market is not likely to be mainstream school leavers. More likely to be 2nd chance learners and those for whom the traditional discipline approach doesn’t sit nicely with
2. Learners wanting a pathway to NGO and social entrepreneurship and community development (nothing offered now would make a learner work ready for these industries)
3. The liberal arts student who currently can’t find a home at polytechnic because of continued focus on traditional industries therefore forced to do a university BA. The BLfC can be seen as a "modern BA".
4. Students coming out of the non-traditional schools e.g. Unlimited or Tai Wananga, as the old teaching and learning structure won’t align with their experience and expectations.
