Aircraft: Nieuport 17p Parasol "Trottinette"
Kit: Scratchbuilt
Notes: After building the Eduard Nieuport 17, I found myself with a spare top wing (two were provided for different variants) and cowling. Waste not want not, thought I. Taking measurements off the Ni 17 fuselage I scratchbuilt another from 0.5 mm styrene sheet. It was a lot easier than I anticipated. I decided to make the parasol fighter that never existed but in my opinion should have. My backstory was that Delage, chief designer for Nieuport, made an experimental parasol monoplane that was rejected for service. After the war, he prettied it up and used it as personal transport, like Harry Hawker and the Sopwith Scooter (Camel parasol).
Aircraft: Sopwith 7F.3 "Sniplane"
Kit: Pegasus
Notes: Both the allies and the Germans were loath to let go of the triplane concept. Sopwith, possibly thinking back to the glory days of the triplane and Collishaw's hun-getting Black Flight, developed a venetian blind from the Snipe. Using the heavy struts trialled with the Taper Wing Camel, a second set of lower wings were mounted above the first. Given the broad chord of the wings, the struts employed a wide I section at each end to prevent wing flex. The resulting aircraft performed satisfactorily but had no real advantage over the standard Snipe and had poor visibility angled forward due to the wide central struts.

Aircraft: Errington Emulous
Kit: Kitbash
Notes: A tribute to a great Whatif builder, The Great Auk (AKA Brian-Da-Basher) who died in 2021. Highly inventive and flat-out bonkers, his builds kept us entertained. This was part of a tribute build: the aircraft commisioned by the Emus that fought the Australian government forces to a standstill in The Emu War (a real thing - look it up). Complete nonsense build but a lot of fun.

Aircraft: General Dynamics EF-111A Raven, RAAF
Kit: Monogram
Notes: Australia used the F-111 but never got the EF electronic warfare version. I bought a Raven kit kind of by accident, so I decided to build it according to this site's whatif scheme predicting what an Aussie Raven might have looked like: https://www.ausairpower.net/Analysis-Raven-RAAF.html
