The Bible is the most intensely studied book in the world, so there is a huge volume of information available. Bible reference works come in two major varieties: word based, and text based. The first variety focuses on individual words, the second on the passage of Scripture. Both varieties are helpful as we try to understand what the Bible means for us today.
