Over a year had passed.
Tatsuma gives us a tour of the new life they have built for themselves.
Around the period where I drew Book 19 and the Epilogue, I was pushing myself to get the story over with, I was in a rut and my heart wasn't fully in it. All these years of dreaming up the big epic climax, and the final product was abrupt, awkward, and people had minimal reactions to major events. You probably noticed some artstyle jumps in Book 19. That's where I'd gone back and redrew/padded out some parts years later when I had some actual passion for the story, again!
Take this advice from me, don't force yourself to work on big important scenes when you're not into it! Dig for that passion and love for your project, first! If you don't like it shortly after you make it, chances are you'll like it even LESS the more time passes. (I'm more satisfied with the ending now, lol)
But enough of that. I look back at some of these, sometimes cringey levels of atrocious teenage scribblings and feel such a sentimental love for them.Â
There's a LOT of goofy stuff I wish I did differently, but to anyone who dared trying to read it, I hope you got even a fraction of the enjoyment from reading it that I got from drawing it! Even some ironic so-bad-it's-funny type enjoyment, haha. :)
