For this personal project, I chose to create a kit of procedural tools to rapidly create high-fidelity tropical islands with buildings and volcanic features. Throughout the project, I got to further develop my skills with procedural modeling and texturing in Houdini, and procedural materials and content generation in Unreal. Although I would've liked to include more effects in this project (A hurricane caused me 5 days without power) I'm glad I was able to include volumetric smoke effects and render them with pathtracer. I learned a lot about optimizing my procedural tools, debugging visual glitches, and maintaining performance in Unreal 5 during this project.
