Advisors

Advisor Policy

So long as a student leader and the club/organization advisor have completed risk management training through the Office of Student Engagement, the following advisor policies are in place.

  • On-Campus Meetings: Advisors are not required to attend on-campus meetings.*

  • On-Campus Events: Advisors are not required to attend on-campus events.*

  • Off-Campus Meetings: Advisors are not required to attend off-campus meetings.*

  • Off-Campus Events: Advisors are required to attend on-campus events.

  • Travel: Advisors are required to attend organizational travel.

*The Office of Student Engagement reserves the right to determine that advisors need to be present at certain on-campus meetings/events or off-campus meetings that present a significant level of risk. Advisors will be notified should this be the case.
