The third floor also houses several logbooks dating back to the 17th and 18th centuries, in which daily life and events aboard the vessels during navigation were recorded day by day.
Armillary sphere: a three-dimensional astronomical model of the celestial sphere and the Solar System. It consists of a series of metal rings (called armillas), each of which represents the movement of the planets around the Sun.
Venetian telescopes: dating back to the 18th century and manufactured in Venice, they have the unique feature of being made entirely of cardboard to keep them lightweight, as they had to be held by hand for long periods. Inside, they are fitted with fine Murano glass lenses.
