Fun Facts

• The EP is a substitute for singles for the band's then-upcoming album, "Bedroom Rock Show", which was later scrapped. 

• Originally, the EP was supposed to feature only the first 4 tracks. Tracks "Yakuza Woter" and "Lost With You" were added last second, as Josh felt that the EP felt 'a little too short'. 

• "Yakuza Woter" was intended to be on "Bedroom Rock Show", but was cut (before the album as a whole was abandoned). Instead of being completely scrapped, it appears on "Soundcheck", acting as a b-side alongside "Lost With You".

  • • In a similar fashion, "Lost With You" was originally intended to be featured on a special EP titled "Valentine's Day Bouquet" (not to be confused with an EP of the same title released the following year), which featured "Lost With You" & "Picture Perfect", alongside acoustic versions of both tracks and a remix of "Picture Perfect". The acoustic version of this song is featured on "Soundcheck". Valentine's Day Bouquet was later reworked, featuring two new songs, as well as a full band version of "Lost With You" and an acoustic version of "Picture Perfect".

• The artwork itself contains numerous easter eggs, including:

  • • The notebook that says "RIOT! RIOT! RIOT!" is both a reference to the track "(Welcome to the) Revolution" and the 2nd studio album "Riot!" by  the band "Paramore", a band that Before You Go loves. The notebook also states "Are you actually wasting your time reading this? Pfft. LOSER." Underneath the marker writing, the lyrics of "Live My Life Alone" (the planned ending track for "Bedroom Rock Show") are shown.

    • On the keyboard, there is a lock, which is a reference to the song "Solitary".

    • There's a pill bottle above the lock that has a note that says "For Grandpa. Take 2 per day." This is a reference to the song "Your Grandpa's Got a Gun".

    • In the bottom right corner (underneath the explicit tag), there's a postcard featuring a 'dancer'. This is a reference to "Picture Perfect".

    • In the top left corner of the screen, there is a note that says "BRS". This is a reference to the scrapped album "Bedroom Rock Show".

    • In the top right corner of the screen, there is a drawing of flames and an anarchy symbol. This is a reference to the song "(Welcome to the) Revolution", an (at the time) unreleased EP titled "Pyromaniac", and a reference to the band's drummer, whose nickname is "Pyro".

• The EP's full name is "Soundcheck: 1,151 Seconds of Your Life Wasted (Fine, You Can Have 485 Back)".

  • • The title "Soundcheck" is a sort of pun, as the album original planned for release after this EP was titled "Bedroom Rock Show", which featured some tracks from the EP. 

    • Everything after the word "Soundcheck" was added as a joke. If Fall Out Boy can have long titles, why can't they?

    • If you were to "take back" those 485 seconds, you would end up wasting 666 seconds of your life.
