This cover of Mutt was recorded for a blink-182 Reddit tribute project titled "182 2.1". Numerous songs from discord-182 (a Discord tribute to blink-182, which is where the band members for Before You Go first met) were also submitted.
The solo during the bridge was an idea introduced by Josh, as a way to "just add a little something" to make it stand out a bit more.
The album artwork is a very dark photo of Josh playing an acoustic guitar at a campfire, which is what inspired the name and theme of "Close (The Campfire Song)" off of Before You Go's "Valentine's Day Bouquet" EP.
The reason why this photo was used for the artwork is because the bandmates forgot to make a cover, so Josh snagged a random photo off of the google drive and darkened it.
The font used for the word "Mutt" is the same font used for most of Before You Go's logos, the "Soundcheck" EP, and parts of the "Valentine's Day Bouquet" EP.
