BPC 2026 Spring Leauge
I will remember that my team and I participate in the Beaufort Pickleball Club League to enjoy pickleball with other adults in a competitive, yet respectful manner, regardless of their age, race, gender, or playing ability.
I shall have all player rosters submitted prior to the start of the season per the Beaufort Pickleball Leagues rules. Players must register online and pay the league fee on or before the registration cutoff date. The cutoff date for the 2026 Spring Season is 03/08/2026 5:00 pm.
I will NOT register players on behalf of my team.
I will ensure all players have an established DUPR rating, or establish a DUPR rating per the league rules, prior to playing in a league match.
I will ensure all players have completed a signed player liability waiver. A player cannot participate without completing a signed waiver.
I will ensure all players are properly placed in a lineup according to the league’s rules. I will not improperly report a player's DUPR rating, nor will I place a player in a match lineup not in accordance with their current ("weekly") DUPR rating. I will not use tactics to try and impact or manipulate a player's DUPR rating.
I will learn the USA Pickleball rules and the Beaufort Pickleball Club league rules.
I will ensure each player has been made aware of the BPC local league rules and match guidelines.
I may conduct team practices that shall be voluntary for my players (no mandatory practices).
I will ensure rescheduled matches, match cancellations, court splits and forfeits are communicated to the league director, Susi Josey, within 48 hours of the originally scheduled match. Email susibpc@gmail.com
I will abide by the administrative responsibilities as a Captain and provide match scoresheets to the league scorekeeper within 24 hours of match completion. Email to lisamcpb@gmail.com and susibpc@gmail.com. Captains are encouraged to create sessions on Playtime Schedule for notifying non-league players of matches using public courts. Note, captains (teams), may not reserve public courts and must allow non-league players some court availability during a match. At the Burton Wells location, captains are encouraged to leave two of the eight courts open. At the Southside location, captains are encouraged to use courts 1 - 4 and leave courts 5 and 6 open.
I will abide by league rules that the Home team determines order of play and court assignments. I will ensure my players understand and abide by this rule. Failure to comply with this rule will be grounds for a forfeit of those lines or lines in a match.
All written protests regarding game results, player unsportsmanlike conduct, or any other unusual circumstances are to be submitted within 24 hours of the incident in question to the league director, Susi Josey, susibpc@gmail.com and Steve Cluff, scluff19@yahoo.com
I will work to ensure that all team members and spectators conduct themselves in a manner congruent to the rules of the Beaufort Pickleball Club League, and that all my players will be a positive role model for those who attend or participate and encourage good sportsmanship by showing respect and courtesy to other players and spectators.
I and my players will not engage in any kind of unsportsmanlike conduct with any spectator, opponent or captain; but not limited to booing or taunting. refusing to shake hands, tap paddles, throwing paddles, or using profane language or gestures.
I will encourage my team to play by the USA Pickleball and local modified BPC league rules and resolve conflicts without resorting to hostility or violence, and will not interfere with court disputes unless requested by the players on the court.
I will not encourage any behaviors or practices that would endanger the health or wellbeing of anyone in the Beaufort Pickleball Club Leagues at any time. I will promote the emotional and physical well-being of the league ahead of any personal desire for my own team to win.
I will ask that spectators abide by the USA Pickleball and Beaufort Pickleball Club League modified league rules such that they do not interfere with play, calls, faults, correct scores, coach, nor interfere in any way with players on the court during a match.
I understand that participants of any kind may not falsify their own name or any other player's name on a team roster, scoresheet, or any other league document. The use of ineligible or illegal players is not permitted and will cause a team to forfeit for that game and automatically place a captain in “poor standing” and may cause immediate removal from league.
I understand that any captain or player who verbally or physically abuses opposing player(s), captains or any other individual, will be ejected from the match, must leave the facility immediately, and shall cause their team to forfeit that match.
