Instructions Grading System
Dear Professor :
This mail is to remind you that the deadline for submitting your grades is 2 weeks after your last session. Therefore, you must upload your grades to the platform by xxxxxxxx
Once you are successfully logged in, click on COLLABORATIVE TOOLS course to access the digital evaluation sheet.
In order to complete the sheet correctly, please take into account the following:
Click on “evaluation criteria” to create a column for each of the different grading criteria, and their corresponding weights, included in your syllabus. The grade to evaluate these criteria must be between 0 and 10 with two decimals.
In the last column, “literal score”, the overall grade will be automatically calculated and the grades will be distributed along a bell-shaped curve. You can only change the number of students by 1 lower or 1 higher in every percentage boundary that makes up one grade. The page is configured to let you know if there is a mistake in the grade distribution.
A Fail will be calculated automatically. The students who are below the pass mark, will have a red background.
Its mandatory to fill in the box with the date and time of the review session. If you don’t fill in this box you will not be able to submit the grades to the Program Management Team. The review should be a maximun of 10 days after grade submission.
Once you have correctly submitted all the grades, click on “send grades”. Program Management will then check the grades and if all is correct, publish them. Once they have been published, you will receive a confirmation email.
Don’t hesitate to ask if you have any doubts and we thank you in advance for your collaboration.
Best regards,
IMPORTANT! CAREFUL WITH THE OVERALL GRADES!
All the gradable items (columns in gradebook) that form part of the Overall Grade HAVE TO BE posted to be taken into account for the calculations. Otherwise, they will NOT BE REFLECTED in the Overall Grade.
If you don't want the posted grades to be visible to students, you can hide the column.
In FACULTY VIEW, the Overall Grade will ALWAYS be displayed correctly. In STUDENT VIEW the Overall Grade displayed MIGHT BE INCORRECT and might differ from the final grade that the faculty intended to give (as the caluculation does NOT take into account gradeable items that are NOT posted and thus may be incomplete).
When you EXPORT GRADES (only undergraduates) MAKE SURE TO REVISE the grades that have been exported.
