Baker Barrios is advancing our design technology & goals. We aim to generate, coordinate, data mine & deliver Building Information Models that are accurate representations of the building in question. To do this; BBA is adopting & using workflows, tools, & partners that align with our goal.
BBA is using BIM 360 as the primary method for hosting Project files on all projects. This allows team members access to approved content at all times. This will effectively eliminate all unnecessary file sharing practices.
It should be assumed when answering a BBA RFP verbally or contractually in writing - that every consulting partner will maintain their own licensing of BIM 360 to properly support the projects requirements. All, including but not limited to Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Interior Design, Lighting, Kitchen, Civil Engineering & Waterproofing Engineering service providers awarded will be required to have valid licensing in their company’s name for Autodesk BIM360 Design for all required employees serving the awarded project for the duration of the project unless expressly excluded herein.
BBA is also very interested in consulting partners that are investing in Computational & Generative design practices. These include tools like Autodesk Dynamo, Grasshopper and computer programming. We encourage partnering with BBA as we explore these new capabilities.
BBA is committed to improving our relationships with consulting partners. We are asking you to offer suggestions that may aid in elimination of wasteful practices or improved workflows.
If you need assistance we are here to help.
Any previously invited team member will be Disabled if there is no account activity for 90 days.
Do Not delete or edit existing folders
Do Not Create New Folders
Only Upload Revit files to "Technical Design" or "Partners"
BBA desires to be a single collaborative team. We use "Folders" to control permissions. To work as fluidly as possible, all team members under a BBA contract are grouped into the folder "Technical Design". Files are shared freely within this group. All team members will be given access to Document Management, Design Collaboration, and Insight. Permissions are assigned as BBA requires. Any model may be opened by any team member at any time with the following considerations.
User must send an Email to the BIM 360 team lead for the company authoring the file. Email should contain the project number, file name, duration of time to be open, and the basic reason for opening the file. This is to be done prior to opening the model. A Response is not required, and you may continue to open the file.
Never edit a Revit file that your company is not the responsible author of.
In the event an edit or problem happens while in the file, please email DSalley@BakerBarrios.com immediately.
We also want to be inclusive of other project stake holders. To facilitate this we offer limited access through our "Partners" folder. Examples would be: Client, General Contractors, Civil, Lighting Design, ect.
"Design Team (contracted with BBA)" is required to link to only files in the same BIM 360 project. This will ensure continuous updates and coordination. This is a high trust environment where we aim to reduce waste and time.
Any BBA contracted organization failing to follow the above Linking method may be responsible for delays resulting in partial payment or cancellation of service.
"Partners" will be handled on a one on one basis.
Baker Barrios requires that all project related CAD/ BIM files be hosted in BIM360. To do this with live coordination linking is required. Autodesk Desktop connector is the tool.

In the event of an error, removing all local folders & files from the above location after closing the Revit application will allow you to download all fresh versions from BIM360 upon opening the Revit project the next time. If some of the files will can not be deleted it is due to them still being in use. Using Task manager "End Task" for any Autodesk services still running, and try to delete the files again.
