Water, protein shake or squash (we don't recommend fizzy drinks)

Absolutely not, in fact these classes are designed especially for people just like this.
Our Stretch and Flexibility classes are all tailored to those who wish to start working towards aiding their mobility day to day and gently progress their flexibility over time. We ensure there are options for each type of stretch we do as well as regressions and progressions for those who need it. We encourage the use of supports and aids during our classes, such as yoga blocks, foam rollers and massage techniques.
Check out our About page to learn more about where I started and why these types of classes are so important to me!
Our classes are suitable for anyone over the age of 18 years old, there is also no maximum age limit!
If you have any pre-existing medical conditions, please tell your instructor at the beginning of class so that these can be accommodated for.
If you do have any conditions which could affect participation in these activities, please seek professional medical advice before attendance.
Yes, as long as you are cleared to participate by a medical professional, we look forward to welcoming you with open arms!
Before each class, your instructor will ask the group if there are any injuries that they need to be made aware of. It is important to let them know at the beginning and during classes how stretches feel to you if you do suffer with any condition that could affect your performance in class.
The instructor is there to guide you on how each stretch should feel, there will be some mild discomfort involved but never severe pain.
If you are ever in a stretch and you feel distinct sharp pain anywhere, please quickly and carefully come out of that stretch and let your instructor know. It is important that you don't injure yourself during our class and we trust you to understand the limits of your body and tell that clearly to your instructor.
Yes, flexibility just like any other part of our training (e.g. strength & stamina) all fluctuate over the course of days, weeks and sometimes even hours!
You may find some days feel much tighter than normal while others you feel bendier than before! This is totally normal and to be expected. The difference we teach in our classes is that consistency matters; so long as you keep up with your stretching exercises, you will see improvements.
The more you stretch in a week (e.g. 3 times a week compared to once a week), the quicker the results will appear.
For (cis) women, your menstrual cycle during your life will play a huge role in how you feel on any given day.
For (trans) men & women, your medical needs during transition can also play havoc with how your body is feeling.
Ultimately, we ask that you LISTEN to what your body is telling you and encourage you to keep open communication with your instructor about how you are feeling on class days; especially if your mood just isn't feeling as up for it as it normally would be.
We appreciate you still attending and will keep you motivated little by little and as often as we can.
