The wasteland’s changed, darlin’. New words, new sights, pages updated and stories stirred. Thought you knew it? Look again.
To most, the Baron is a myth—a whispered legend that drifts across the wasteland like a ghost story. Some say she is a phantom, an immortal ruler who has guided the ruins of civilization for centuries. Others claim she is no more than a lie, a mirage of power keeping desperate people in check. But to The Nameless Court, she is the absolute.
The Nameless Court is a fanatical order devoted to unraveling the mystery of the Baron. They do not serve her in the traditional sense, for they do not know where, who or what she is. Instead, they seek to understand her, to piece together her truth, believing that knowledge of the Baron will bring ultimate clarity. They scour the wastes for any scrap of her influence, hoarding old-world documents, half-burned records, and cryptic transmissions, trying to decipher the impossible.
To them, history is a puzzle, and the Baron is the missing piece. The Nameless Court believes the Baron is more than human but the faction is fractured into sects, each with their own theories, each more desperate than the last to prove themselves right. There are some who claim she walks among them in disguise, always watching close. These followers do not search for documents or records—they hunt people. They believe that by stripping away the falsehoods of the wasteland, by dissecting the liars and pretenders, they will eventually find the true Baron. They will recognize her in the blood, in the bones, in the whispers of the dying, and they will kneel.
For ultimately The Nameless Court does not seek to control the Baron. They do not wish to own her power. They wish to find her and place the lost crown upon her head, no matter what she may be. No matter what she may become. For if she exists, then she rules.
