I am pleased to feature Professor Dr. Ihsan Mohd Yassin as one of my Knowledge Partners. He is also my PhD co-supervisor, and his guidance has contributed meaningfully to my development as a researcher.

An educator, computer engineer and applied artificial intelligence researcher at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), he has built a career around transforming engineering and AI expertise into practical solutions with real-world value.

His work spans applied artificial intelligence, deep learning, large language models, forecasting, computer vision, health informatics, energy and environmental systems, blockchain technology, and space-weather modelling. As a University Fellow in Artificial Intelligence at UiTM, he also contributes to AI training, workshops and the responsible adoption of emerging technologies across the university.

Among his notable initiatives is Gelombang AI, which encourages broader understanding and meaningful use of artificial intelligence. He is also associated with MindAtlas, a mental-health and wellness platform that supports stress, personality and career-interest assessments, together with access to counselling services.

What makes Dr. Ihsan’s journey especially inspiring is his ability to connect research, innovation, education and mentorship. His work demonstrates how interdisciplinary knowledge can extend beyond the laboratory to strengthen institutions, support communities and create practical impact.
