GSP finds that Rahm Emanuel leads in the 2028 primary

(June 21, 2025) - In a stunning political twist, a new poll from Green Strategy Polling (GSP) finds former Chicago Mayor and Obama White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel leading the pack in the 2028 Democratic presidential primary.

According to the poll, conducted June 17–19 among 1,200 likely Democratic primary voters nationwide, Emanuel tops the field with 22%, followed by Vice President Kamala Harris at 18%, Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg at 15%, and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez at 13%. No other candidate polled above 20%.
