(June 20, 2025) - In a stunning turn in the final days before the Democratic primary, our new poll shows Michael Blake narrowly edging out former Governor Andrew Cuomo in a hypothetical final round runoff, capping off a rollercoaster mayoral race that has captivated New York politics.
According to our poll, conducted June 16–18 among 1,000 likely Democratic voters, Blake secures 61% to Cuomo’s 34% in a head-to-head matchup. The poll’s margin of error is ±2.9%.
This marks a significant shift from earlier in the race, when Cuomo and Mamdani surged to the top of a crowded field. But in the weeks since, Blake has appeared to gain support from progressives and younger voters, while also dominating moderate Black and Latino communities.
