School activities were conducted by teachers and pupils from the 5 participating countries (on Monday and Friday) and in Lisbon on Tuesday (the Museum of Ceramic Tiles was visited and a tour of the center was made by discovering the geometric transformations in the city's pavement). On Wednesday, at MÁRIO BEIRÃO school, activities related to the creation of exemplary images for illustrating science papers were carried out, and then the participants started in the decorative art. On Thursday, the activities took place at the Beja Polytechnic Institute on themes at the border between art and science. The students also made friends with their colleagues from other countries, and especially with the Portuguese students who hosted them.
Our road to Beja led to reflections on the theme of the project about the relationship between the environment, integrated architecture in the environment, the way of capitalizing local traditions in art and the integration of new technologies in the urban development of Lisbon.
The theme of the project, Art and Science was well emphasized by laboratory works of waste water treatment, information conferences on the theme of the project or by highlighting some techniques for creating decorative ceramics, characteristic to the Portuguese culture and traditions.
Teacher activities set how documents are to be transferred (through Etwinning space) and the nature of these documents.
Following the sessions, several collaborative activities were established until the next meeting and also their deadlines, namely the realization by each team of some photographs that would respect several of the following: to be artistic photos of the environment of the school's area, to contain elements related to light / dark, have elements that can be mathematically processed and can have a sound background. These were submitted by a collaboration scheme between partners along with some observations of mathematical / scientific nature. Appropriate audio files were added to these by the teams of other countries to the and a video was made at the end.
This meeting was attended by the 5 school directors involved in the project and we had the warm reception of the representatives of Beja City Hall, thus establishing a better collaboration between the partner schools
