Architecture was born when man was no longer content with building a simple shelter to protect him from nature’s elements and dangers and began to put in his personal touch, integrating into the construction of this shelter artwork, spiritual symbols, a new functionality. Over time, as the development of sciences, arts, society, architecture have evolved, it has been adapted to the requirements of human society, creating mas-terpieces of art, engineering and spirituality. Our environment is shaped by architects.
Architecture is inhabited sculpture.
Constantin Brâncuşi
That perfect harmony of volumes and surfaces of most architectural spaces is due to the architect’s deep knowledge of mathematics, creating a rhythm in perfect harmony between the and the inner space, the transgression from outside to inside being made by combining and matching forms of cir-cles, squares and rectangles which obey rules of centrality, axially, parallelism, reflection and struc-tures of surfaces.
"There are probably two words that express the enrichment capability of contemporary architecture of modeling and representing space: fantasy and freedom, and they are given by the new geometry, topology and computer graphics programs."
