This PLC agenda and minutes is for my current Student Teaching placement at Andrew High School. The Agenda itself contains our PLC's inquiry goal as well as meeting dates and minutes. It also includes a summary of key discussion topics, team decision and action items.
This PLC agenda demonstrates that I "collaborates with others in the use of data to design and implement effective school interventions that benefit all students" (8C). This agenda shows that I am collaborating with others discussing academic English. In addition, it shows I "understands the importance of participating on collaborative and problem-solving teams to create effective academic and behavioral interventions for all students" (8F). Through the work we do in PLC, it demonstrates a team effort to create and plan intervention strategies for the students. Lastly, I "uses digital tools and resources to promote collaborative interactions" (8M). This shows that through this interactive agenda which was created on google docs, all collaborators have access to share and add to this document.
By creating this agenda and contributing to it, I learned it is important to create goals and find solutions or strategies to solve them. In addition, I learned it is important to work with others as more people bring more ideas to the table. It is important to collaborate with your colleagues and through our PLC I have appreciated the importance of it.
This zoom was created for Parent Teacher Conferences during my student teaching placement at Andrew High School. The zoom was used for parents/guardians who could not make it in for an in-person meeting. The zoom was to discuss progress, grades, and any behavior concerns with the parent in 10 minute time slots.
Parent Teacher Conferences on zoom demonstrates I "develops professional relationships with parents and guardians that result in fair and equitable treatment of each student to support growth and learning" (8P). This shows that during Parent Teacher Conferences I developed professional relationships with parents and guardians to discuss and support the growth and learning of their student. In addition, I "establishes respectful and productive relationships with parents or guardians and seeks to develop cooperative partnerships to promote student learning and well-being" (8Q). While speaking to parents, a lot of them had sought out interest in better supporting their student. That being said, we have formed partnerships to better support their student in the classroom and at home.
By participating in Parent Teacher Conferences, I was able to establish relationships with parents/guardians of my students. In addition, I was able to establish relationships to make sure both the teacher and parent/guardians are best supporting their student even outside of the classroom. It was important to connect with parents and know we are in a partnerships for making sure their student is successful.
