To ensure students are growing in their understanding of key components, it is necessary to gather baseline data and to continue monitoring student growth. The pre/mid/post assessments are designed for Site Teams to collect and disaggregate assessment data according to timelines and to inform vertical and horizontal progression of skills across the site as referred to in Essential 4 (Systems) Indicator 3.

The Tutor Training eLearning course is accessed from the dashboard through the My eLearning tab on MyAVID. AVID Elective Teachers and District Directors are enrolled in an audit version of the course to see what tutors are learning. Tutors aged 18 or older need to have a MyAVID account and then be enrolled into the course to have it appear on their eLearning dashboard. To learn more visit the Tutorial Webpage.

Looking for tutors? AVID has a Tutor Match Portal where tutors can post their profiles, AVID District Directors can post job opportunities as well as search for tutor candidates.

Family Workshops are intended to strengthen the partnership between schools and families, as they support college and career readiness for all students.
