To ensure students are growing in their understanding of key components, it is necessary to gather baseline data and to continue monitoring student growth. The pre/mid/post assessments are designed for Site Teams to collect and disaggregate assessment data according to timelines and to inform vertical and horizontal progression of skills across the site as referred to in Essential 4 (Systems) Indicator 3.

Take a look at the "All Things Advisory" resources to support the schoolwide use of instructional strategies through Advisory content. You'll find an Introduction Video, the Advisory Implementation Guide, a campus professional learning module to train staff, and sample advisory schedules to support you in this work.
Systems
The Tutor Training eLearning course is accessed from the dashboard through the My eLearning tab on MyAVID. AVID Elective Teachers and District Directors are enrolled in an audit version of the course to see what tutors are learning. Tutors aged 18 or older need to have a MyAVID account and then be enrolled into the course to have it appear on their eLearning dashboard. To learn more visit the Tutorial Webpage.

Culture
Family Workshops are intended to strengthen the partnership between schools and families, as they support college and career readiness for all students. Develop community partnerships to support AVID and plan a Family Workshop/information session on the AVID Elective/Excel Elective recruitment process.
