Plan to administer an end of the year survey to gauge teacher and student expectations around college and career readiness. (IV.3.7)
The intent of this indicator is to focus on the perception of the school promoting a college-going culture. If perceived student and teacher expectations around college readiness is included, then sites should utilize that data to support their campus-wide college readiness initiatives. If questions are not included, the AVID Site Team and/or School Leadership Team should strongly consider the addition of college readiness perception questions to the established climate surveys. This Indicator is not intended to add another survey to already established school and/ or district survey processes, but rather to bring college readiness expectations to the forefront for planning and discussions.
