Systems
The AVID Secondary Implementation Resource (ASIR) was created to assist administrators, AVID Site Coordinators, AVID Elective/AVID Excel elective teachers, and AVID Site Team members in successfully implementing the AVID College and Career Readiness System. The tools and content in this resource provide sites with support materials that aid in the certification process and open discussion about deepening AVID implementation at the entire school site.

Use the following guiding questions to set goals for increasing access and equity for students at your site:
• What is the access and equity policy at your site?
• What are the prerequisites for rigorous advanced courses (AP®, IB®, dual enrollment, etc.)?
• Who is able to enroll in those rigorous advanced courses?
• What are demographics of the students in the advanced or rigorous courses?
• What is the grade distribution of the students in the advanced or rigorous courses?
• What support services are available for students in order to ensure their success in advanced or rigorous courses?
