THIS PLATE HAD THE CENTRE HUB RIPPED OUT
REMOVE ANY SHARP EDGES FROM CENTRE OF BOTH SIDES
WEARING A MASK
REMOVE ANY STAINS OR LOOSE EDGES FROM CLUTCH LINING
YOU DO NOT HAVE TOO, BUT IT DOES LOOK BETTER AFTERWARDS
MASK UP AND PAINT CENTRE RETAINING DISC
CLEAR COAT THE ENTIRE DISC TO SEAL IN THE CLUTCH LINING
DRILL 8mm CENTRE HOLE TO ALLOW CLOCK TO PASS THROUGH
EASIER TO START WITH A VERY SMALL DRILL AND WORK UPWARDS
PUSH CLOCK SPINDLE IN FROM THE BACK
CAREFULLY, LIGHTLY TIGHTEN THE BRASS NUT
ONLY ENOUGH TO PINCH AND HOLD IN PLACE
OVER TIGHTEN COULD DAMAGE THE GEARING
LOOK AT THE HANDS CAREFULLY
THE RAISED BOSS PART GOES ON THE CLOCK SIDE
LINE THEM ALL UP AT THE 12 O'CLOCK POSITION
USING 2 FINGERS EITHER SIDE OF THE HANDS
GENTLY PUSH ON
ASSEMBLE THE HOUR HAND FIRST, THEN MINUTE, THEN SECOND.
ONLY GENTLE PUSH THE SECOND HAND IN,
IF YOU EVER WANT TO CHANGE HANDS AT A LATER DATE
LINE THEM ALL UP AT THE 12 O'CLOCK POSITION.
ONCE FITTED, TRIAL TEST BY TURNING THE WHEEL AT THE BACK OF THE CLOCK MECHANISM,
GOING THROUGH A 12 HOUR CYCLE TO ENSURE HANDS DO NOT TOUCH EACH OTHER
NEVER ADJUST THE TIME MOVING THE HANDS AS THIS COULD AFFECT THE GEARING INSIDE.
THE METAL HANDS ARE EASILY BENT
