Tips: Saving Files

  • In Audacity, saving is a two-step process:

    • Save the project

    • Export the final audio

Tips: Exporting an MP3 file

  • When trying to export an mp3 file in Audacity, the user must load the LAME mp3 encoder.

  • 1. Click the “Browse” tab.

  • 2. Select “All Files”.

  • 3. Go to MacOSX Drive > Library > Audio > Audacity & select libmp3lame.dylib

  • 4. Click “OK”.

  • You can now export mp3 files.
