Audio Interfaces

All of our Sandbox studio workstations are equipped with the Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 audio interface.

These interfaces can be used with both Windows and Mac computers.

You can use the interface with your own laptop in our studios. The device should work automatically with a Macbook but Windows users will need to download and install* the latest drivers from the Focusrite website: https://global.focusrite.com/downloads?product=Scarlett+2i2+first+gen

If you are using the Scarlett interface with your own MacBook or laptop make sure to:

1. Turn off the studio speakers
2. Unplug the USB cable from the Sandbox computer.
3. Plug in the USB cable to your laptop.
4. Wait for the device to be recognized.
5. Turn on the studio speakers.
6. When you are finished using the interface, power down the speakers and return the USB cable to the studio computer.

Please note the Scarlett interface operates best when the laptop is using a power supply rather than running off the battery.
