Tips for Using the Rode NT1
- Make sure the phantom power on the interface is turned on (+48v).
- Ensure you are getting good levels in your recording software (averaging between -6 and -3 dB)
- Speak in a loud, clear voice
- Speak approximately 3-4 inches away from the end of the microphone.
- Use the pop screen to help avoid excessive breath noises and loud “p” and “b” sounds (also known as plosives.)
