The Caminos mission is to amplify the ESB-MACC and its communities through the promotion, production and preservation of Mexican-American and Latin American art and culture while empowering teens to carve their own path in a creative career. The interns venture into their community, take field trips, as well as support our ESB-MACC community events, and experience not just Austin's arts communities, but our community at large.
Caminos At... showcases the meaningful work and change they create, building habits and connections that they take with them past their time with Caminos!

In its 12th year, the ESB MACC's annual La Mujer festival was originally inspired by Sor Juana Ines de la Cruz, who is considered the first feminist of the Americas.
La Mujer is a signature MACC event that has historically been a multidisciplinary festival that includes hands-on art making activities, women storytelling workshops, live performances and family-friendly cultural arts activities. Caminos has always either worked the event or, in the case of the "La Mujer" Mural, been inspired by it!
On November 16th, 2024, the Caminantes embraced the vibrant Mariachi scene in Kyle, Texas while lending a hand to make the festival unforgettable! From serving food and drinks to decorating and capturing the magic on camera, they brought the spirit of community and culture to life.
