Program Coordinator
Hi, I am Eufemia Rivera and oversee the Caminos Program at the MACC. I have worked with diverse communities for over 20 years supporting non-profits and 10 years at the city of Austin. I’m proud to serve the community and our gente. My purpose in life is to build people and fill the gap along their journey. Caminos which mean path/paths allows me the opportunity to work with young artist and mentor them along their path that will connect them to their future.
I’m honored to be a part of there lives and hope that what I impart and share with them stays with them throughout their entire life. Although I still do not know what I will be when I “grow up” I know it includes helping others. I earned my Associates degree first in Human Services/with in Management in Leadership. Currently I have a bachelor’s degree of science in Human Services and a minor in substance abuse. I am also halfway done with my Master of Divinity degree. I’m proud of being Tejana, Mexicana, and honored to have obtained my dream of being an educated Latina. I could not have done this without the support of my husband of 21 years and the drive to be a great example to my 4 teenage children. I love that I get to work with our wonderful team at the Mexican American Cultural Center and am honored everyday that I get to be around young people who inspire me to continue the work of sharing my culture and history with others though the arts and food.
Con Amor,
Eufemia

Artist/Mentor/Admin
Hi! My name is Adrienne Sanchez, and I’m an Administrative Assistant with the ESB-MACC. I’m excited to begin this new chapter with the Caminos program! One of the most invaluable aspects of amplifying the arts is providing youth with safe, engaging environments where they can learn and grow. Their creative growth and professional development as they work toward becoming the artists, musicians, poets, and arts administrators, etc. they aspire to be-supported by their families and communities- is so important to bring about needed change and advocacy for our community.
The Caminos program is a vital part of the ESB-MACC, where practicing artists and teens can learn, grow, and connect with the Austin community. My role with Caminos will span from creating our session agendas, coordinating and completing administrative tasks with Eufemia and Nil, facilitating our sessions, mentoring the Caminantes, and more. In my free time, I enjoy attending art events around Austin, learning more about Latino/a/x arts, and swimming. I look forward to continuing my work in amplifying the arts both within the Caminos program and through my own independent projects.

Marketing/Design
Hello! My name is Nil (they/them) and I'm a Culture & Arts Specialist, Marketing Assistant, Graphic Designer with the ESB-MACC and Elisabet Ney Museum. Starting out as a Caminante in 2020, I was able to stay with the program as a Caminos Mentor, or "Senderista". I specialized in helping with Social Media managing/graphic and being a support system for incoming Caminantes! After that, I was able to move up as a Temp with the ESB-MACC and get my hands on more design projects for our site and eventually help manage marketing and design for others like the Elisabet Ney Museum. Caminos has been astronomical for my educational and artistic journeys. As a first-gen Mexican-Honduran-American, it has helped me immerse myself in my community and the arts and lead me to realize that I love to explore culture and identity in my work. My experience with Caminos and the MACC has opened many doors for me - I'm currently pursuing my BFA in Communication Design at Texas State University and graduating in December 2025!"
