We started May off strong with an amazing field trip hosted at the LLILAS benson Latin American studies collection.
This was an amazing opportunity for Caminantes to hear and learn from professors from the University of Texas as well as personal graduate majors who aided the overall experience. It was a great day eating home slice pizza, and engaging in real world conversations on academic journeys.
Caminantes were able to take away knowledge on study abroad programs, Latinx artist of various industries, and getting a close and personal view of professor stories.
We were able to end the day rewieving original and generational archives of Latinx history from the Americas and even to local Austin Texas. The final cherry on top was installing our own work they'll keep in the archives.
