Celebrating Black American Achievements at the Carver Museum
We had an incredible day collaborating with the George Washington Carver Museum and joining their HBCU day on Saturday February 14, 2026. Being able to celebrate many historically black colleges and universities was exhilerating and we're so glad to be invited!
We ourselves had a handful of fun activities prepared as well with our acrylic marker painting activity table as well as our beaded jewelry creations table. The Caminantes were very involved, even jumping on stage performing with keynote speaker Saul Paul! The Carver Museum art gallery was engaging, dispaying thhe new exhibit " Who Draws the Maps?" with works by Steven Bernard Jones. We really appreciate the invitation! Thank you Carver.
