The Workshop
This page serves to elaborate on the system within the Unimata known as “The Workshop.” In essence, The Workshop is a place for the droids to exchange their earned “Cogs” for personal upgrades. Upgrades for the droids can range from something as simple as an integrating a PDA into their arm to something more complex as toggleable Infrared Eyes. However, some modifications come in limited quantities due to stock issues, and others are completely out of reach for the lower ranks. Of course, though, everything comes with its price. Droids are only allowed a maximum of three modifications due to the threat of Synthetic Augmentation Failure. Droids are freely permitted to swap augments out as they please, yet are still restricted to a maximum of three.
Cog Tokens
Cog tokens, more commonly referred to as just “Cogs'”, are small coin-shaped cogs with the Union logo plastered on. These cogs serve as the main currency when purchasing modifications at The Workshop. Every new droid that aligns themselves with the Unimata starts with 10 Cog Tokens so they can familiarize themselves with the system. Members of the Unimata also receive a monthly sum of cogs depending on their rank, with higher officials receiving more than the lower ranks. In addition to this, Cogs can be earned by completing tasks handed down the chain of command, the harder the job the more cogs will be earned. Remember not to spend them all at once!
Augment Markers
With the Unimata being made up of all races (Droids, Humans and Mutants) it is important to distinguish what augments can / cannot be used for specific individuals. Unique identification markers have been created that will allow you to easily differentiate between the different availability of augmentations.
Keep in mind that all modifications are suitable for droids, these markers specifically indicate which ones work for humans and mutants.
□ - Augments with this marker are modifications that are solely for droids. For example integrated storage spaces and software protection.
◧ - Augments with this marker are modifications that require the use of a prosthetic to be available. For example an Integrated PDA or Ammo Counter.
■ - Augments with this marker are modifications that can be used by everyone. For example the Solar Powered Battery Pack.

MODIFICATIONS: RECREATIONAL
This classification of Workshop Augmentations are available to everyone in the Unimata. They're basic modifications common to come across that have a multitude of uses depending on the individual with the augment.
✦ Storage Compartment
A modification for droids who just need that extra space. A compartment in their front torso will be added, allowing them to carry extra weight and conceal items when passing through restricted territories. The size of the droid will determine how large a compartment will be, though usually it can carry an extra 15 lbs of weight.

✦ "MAGNI-S33" Sight Enhancers
Thanks to the easy plug and play implant, it’s easy to just pop them in. It allows a droid to zoom in and out with their vision, letting them see further than the average unit. It also gives them picture perfect vision, meaning they can spot details that would normally go unseen.

✦ Holographic Projector
A modification that allows droids to project a hologram from a hand of their choice. A small device will be implemented onto the palm of a droid's hand, allowing them to activate it as they wish. The hologram will display whatever the droid chooses to display for all to see.

✦ "PIN" Shoe Spikes
An interesting augmentation that allows droids to keep themselves standing stable. When activated, a droid's foot grip on the land will be increased drastically. This allows them to traverse through different terrains much more easily than other units. It also stops them being knocked over, however a large force might still topple them.

✦ "CL1P" Climbing Claws
Despite its name, the Climb Claws augmentation does not give the user real claws. Rather, it works in a similar way to the Shoe Spikes. This modification will give the droid increased grip strength against rougher surfaces and rocky terrain. Should they need to climb up a rope, this augmentation will make scaling upwards a breeze. However, as with the Shoe Spikes, should a terrain be extremely rough then the climbing claws augment may not activate.

✦ Video Recorder
A simple and very self explanatory tool. Similar to a police body cam or an attachable camera, the video recorder is an integrated system of recording that can be attached to the upper part of the droid's head or integrated onto the droid's torso. This can be particularly useful for gathering evidence or recording basic interactions.

✦ Lead Lining
A simple, yet very useful augmentation, especially for Picketers. Lead lining on the droid will provide a much needed stronger resistance towards radiation, even in Radstorms. Lead is dense and tough, which allows for it to be extra useful towards Radiation. It can block X-Rays and Gamma Rays from penetrating through and internally hurting the droid. When radioactive waves hit the droid with Lead Lining, the waves collide with the lead on a molecular level and get dispersed.

✦ Waterproofing
A highly requested, but not necessary augment, for all droids who traverse the Mudlands. Waterpoofing will add sealant materials, such as silicone and rubber lining, to parts of the droid that may be exposed to the elements resulting in them being sealed off. This can allow a droid to exercise new found freedoms such as swimming and will make it so they do not have to worry about rain. However, this doesn't protect a droid from rusting. Prolonged exposure to the elements, even if covered, will still speed up the rusting process.

✦ Unimata System Shield
An augmentation all droids need but most can't afford right away. The Unimata System Shield is an anti-virus software that protects droid data from being corrupted. It stops them from being hacked by outside sources. Albeit it’s not always successful, it’s better to be protected than not.

✦ "D3CI-BYTE" Enhanced Audio Ranger
This modification can be extremely useful for the Picketer class of droids. Upon acquiring this augmentation, a droid's hearing range will be slightly increased. Their range of hearing will surpass that of organic ears. However, this does not give the droid crystal clear hearing. Its main purpose is to allow its user to identify sounds from much further away.

This classification of Workshop Augmentations are restricted to certain groups of Unimata personnel depending on what their role within the faction is. Service augments focus on the jobs members undertake to make their duty easier.
✦ Integrated Civilian Personal Digital Assistant
This cheap and simple modification allows any droid to integrate a PDA system into an arm of their choice for better efficiency. No longer will a user have to carry around a PDA.

✦ Integrated Medical Augmented Reality Display
A modification that serves little purpose on droids, however when performing on organic units it’s a blessing. An Medical ARD will be integrated with the users eyes, allowing them to toggle the ARD at will. It’s extremely useful when treating flesh wounds on others. Cheaper than an Engineering integration due to its lack of purpose for droids.

✦ Universal Language Translator
Another self-explanatory augmentation. Can be particularly useful for Requitals, as they will be bartering with many different people. Droids who choose to get this augmentation will be allowed to speak up to three different languages at once. To change the three languages, the droid will have to go through a hefty upload system of learning the language. Depending if the droid chooses one language to change or all three, will determine the upload time.

✦ "Elec-Transfer" Power Transfer Cable
An augment installed either in the chassis or a limb, it would be a cable capable of recharging or powering small devices such as flashlights or radios, etc. It draws power from the droids battery or whatever else is used to power it. It could also be used in reverse in emergencies to recharge battery-powered from power sources without having to hook them up to a droid charger, but it is not recommended for anything other than a minimum amount of power as it can lead to damage.

This augmentation is perfect for the mender class of droids. Repair equipment for all things technical will be placed inside the arm of a droid. They will be able to cycle through a variety of tools to fit their repair needs. This can be paired nicely with an Engineering ARD.

An extremely useful modification for Menders of the faction. An Engineering ARD will be integrated with the users eyes, allowing them to toggle the ARD at will. It's extremely useful when performing repairs on yourself or other droids, hence its expensive nature.

✦ "SPLINT3R(S)" Precise Splitters
A favorite among both medics and menders, this hand augment allows the user to split their fingers into smaller sections, these smaller fingers allowing for incredibly precise and speedy work due to the small and nimble profile of the fingers.

✦ Vital Display
A modification all droids should receive. This extremely important augmentation will give a droid a vital screen of their entire body. When a part of them is damaged, it will flash up on the vital display which area has been impacted. Very Useful for seeing damage caused during fights as droids can’t feel pain.

✦ "CABL3" Link Wire
A cable located in the wrist area of a prosthetic or droid's arm, this allows for the droid to jack into devices that have an access port. This can allow for viruses to be uploaded, data to be scanned and taken, or to get general info on the device they are jacked inside of. This tool can also locate code errors when working with a droid or other device, like a computer.

✦ Encrypted Radio System
An extremely useful modification. When a droid receives this upgrade, they will be able to speak through channels to other units even if they don’t own the augmentation themselves. A droid using this will never be tracked by outside sources, meaning they can freely share information between one another. This does not protect droids who aren’t using an encrypted system.

✦ "L-SEC" Mount
An augment installed in the back of a droid, composed of a few dozen hooks, connectors and straps. The augment is most effective with two users, the Activator and the Assistant. The Activators back which is installed wtih the augment reveals the hooks, and connectors which are used to attach anything within the droids own weight class (>40lbs heavier) to their back. The assistant would load the object on to the Activator's back, which would security connect the object/person to the Activator's lumbar supports. Of course connection without an Assistant is possible, though difficult, however Leadens take a keen interest in this augment given its versatility, and ability to haul others out of a dangerous area on the field.

✦ Unimata Network Barrier [U.N.B]
An upgraded version to the U.S.S [Unimata System Shield]. The Unimata Network Barrier [U.N.B] is far advanced for its time. Droids who get this implemented into their systems mean they can walk around with their head high, knowing it’d be damn near impossible to have their system hijacked. Most higher ranking officials will have this installed due to their high position.

✦ Solar-Powered Battery Pack
This augmentation adds a large, bulky battery pack to the back of a droid. During daylight, the battery pack will use solar energy to charge itself up. A droid can utilize this pack to charge all things energy. They can charge themselves, other droids, laser rifles or anything else that requires energy to use.

✦ CG-SD-41 “Aero”
The MODEL Civilian-Grade-Scouting-Drone-[41] “Aero” is a drone that was created and founded by Unimata in its early days. The greatest minds came together to create a portable drone that droids can use for scouting purposes. Its general purpose is to map surroundings and pick up individuals within an area to relay information back to the user on the best way to approach something. This drone has become a “Requitals best friend.” Even though it is quite weak, its fast mobility makes it a hard target to hit.

✦ "WIRE-BACK" Backup Generator
An expensive addition, however it proves very useful. This augmentation can be useful for Picketers, as they will be able to do reconnaissance for longer. This can revive the droid if their battery is depleted, removed, or dispatched. It is very heavy and can take up a lot of space on the droid's body. However, the Backup Generator is a very efficient, very reliable and an armored reserve power source.

This classification of Workshop Augmentations are available to everyone in the Unimata, more focused on self-preservation of an individual. There is bound to be something here that fights every fighting type.
✦ "CLAMP" Chassis Stabilizer
A useful utility augmentation, especially to Leadens, as they carry more of the bulk for the Unimata. Droids who get this augmentation will feel a lot more stabilized and centered. If the said droid were to get put off balance or blown backwards, the impact will be reduced and the droid will be able to stabilize itself again. Moreover, the droid will be able to carry some extra weight due to the stabilization of its chassis.

✦ "CATALYCT" Reinforced Frame
An important combat-focused augmentation, useful for Kargus or Leadens, as they will be the ones going head on into combat itself. Droids who get this augmentation will see an increase in durability during combat, they'll be able to take more melee strikes before. These metal straps will prove useful for Leadens who take lead and get struck with melee and Kargus will see an improvement in their combat capabilities. With this, droids who choose this augmentation will see a slight decrease in speed due to the metal straps.

✦ "SPOTLIGHT" Disorientating Flicker
Similar to bright strobe lights on a riot shield, Disorientating Flicker allows for a droid to quickly blind/stun an opponent with ease. Very useful for those who find themselves in combat mostly, this applies to Leadens or Kargus. The Disorientating Flicker has a two hour cooldown timer, so use it wisely. Quickly flashing a fury of blinding lights at someone could easily hand you the victory on a one on one situation.

✦ "SPRINT3R" Aerodynamic Legs
A very interesting, yet niche augmentation. Acquiring the Aerodynamic Legs augmentation will make it so your legs will be a lot slimmer. This has both pros and cons for yourself. The pros are that you are way more quick and more nimble, allowing for yourself to do much more athletic movements that you weren't allowed to do beforehand with your normal legs. The cons are as follows, since they are small and slimmer, they are much weaker as a whole. Whether that be for protection or for the natural elements. It's a double edged sword.

✦ "R3FRACT" Voltage Wrist
An augment made for resolving conflicts peacefully, or subduing an opponent without laying a finger on them. The Voltage Wrist will implant a weaker version of the MicroVOLT weapon attachment into the users wrist of choice. They will then be able to, on command, fire a taser-like projectile that will stun the average person for around 30 seconds. People that are larger than average may be able to withstand the sudden shock, so you should be careful who your targets are.

✦ "PRA3TOR" Arm Blades
These blades are typically hidden inside a hollowed out arm, and can be extended at will of the user. The blades can extend to a range of 2 feet, and, while not the most practical of weapons, in the right hands (or arms/legs, to be precise) can be deadly.

✦ "SM0G" Smokescreen Deployer
A system that uses the same kind of system that the shoulder-mounted weapons use, this is a small(ish) tube mounted on an arm that houses 2 smoke grenades, with 1 in the chamber. This arm can be aimed anywhere the operator wishes, but the system is somewhat slow and actions are delayed by a second or two. Reloading is a lengthy process for this augment, use it sparingly.. though, that shouldn't be needed. The smokescreen that this augment can generate can span several meters, covering enough area for your allies to escape to safety.

✦ "BULLDOZE" Hydraulic System
An incredibly good upgrade for anyone who may receive it, this augment allows for the user to replace their entire hydraulic system or a heavier and more sturdy hydraulic system, trading off speed for brute strength. Users with this augment will be able to lift up to 50 pounds more than they could before, and can make their punches and kicks incredibly damaging. The user may also weigh ~15 pounds more.
[DISCLAIMER - RDS is optional. If you do utilize it, you will have +2 STR and -1 DEX with this augment installed. Due to the increased chassis thickness, users with this augment often have to rely on melee. -2 to AIM while using guns.]

✦ "RIPCORD" Integrated Weapon
A two 20 gauge shell capacity shotgun integrated into the arm of the user, shot out of the forearm through the pull of a cord located at the bicep. When the cord is puled with adequate force, the hand of the limb will either fold out of the way, or drop on a hinge allowing for the shells to shoot out. Shells must be loaded back in manually through the forearm.
A roll of 2+ is required to shoot out one shell without blowing out the wrist of the limb.
A roll 4+ is required to shoot out both shells at the same time without blowing out the wrist of the limb.

✦ "THUNDERSHOTTERS"
Either integrated into the limbs of the user, or can be equipped as separate gauntlets for organics. An apparatus of reinforced metal wrapped around the hands, shaped like flat broader brass knuckles with a mess of conductive material and copper wiring exposed on the exterior. Upon activation a steady stream of electricity courses through the conductors, allowing for an abrupt shock on contact, and a further electrifying effect upon prolonged contact. It's effects are akin to that of a smaller stun baton the alumni use.
Allows for the use of them as makeshift defibs or jumpstarters with manual calibration.
Does have the off-chance to briefly taze the user, or malfunction if too much blunt impact is sustained.

✦ "FIRESPARKER" Integrated Weapon
A highly versatile augment integrated into the forearm, with a C02-Helium cell located in the upper forearm and a tube leading into a series of lenses leading out the palm. This acts as a short ranged, and more volatile zapper firepoppy, with a larger 'laser' shooting out, but less range and less capacity. Highly flammable.
The arm requires a full lock up of the hand and the wrist in order to fire, and any damage to the fuel canister can result in explosion ruining the arm.

✦ "UNIFICATOR" Integrated Weapon
This augment is based on the functions of the M1911, an integrated .45 ACP firearm within the user's forearm. The integrated weapon itself is pushed out with a flick of the arm outwards. The loading/magazine port on the underside of the forearm, the custom magazines and clips made for the Unificator have a capacity of 14 rounds, and are ejected through a switch right on the side of the forearm.
Any roll below 5< results in a stovepiping jam, still firing the round in the chamber but unable to fire after the fact.

MODIFICATIONS: SUPPORT
This classification of Workshop Augmentations are a seperate type of combat modification. These augments are useful to support some of the frontline combat augments in order to gain better functions out of them.
✦ Ammo Counter
A useful modification for the combat roles. An ammo counter will be integrated onto a user's dominant arm. The user will be able to link any weapon to the counter, allowing them to easily check how many bullets they have left in a magazine before reloading.

✦ Ammo Storage Compartment
A useful modification for the combat roles that pairs extremely well with the Ammo Counter augmentation. This modification will see a small compartment be hollowed out into the arm of a droid, which they can use to store ammunition. Droids will still need to magazine feed their rifles, this augmentation just makes ammo availability easier.

✦ Concealment Carry
An augment created to easily conceal smaller arms such as pistols and submachine guns. A carving will be made into the droids leg of choice of the weapon outline they wish to conceal. Once carved, the droid will be able to slide that weapon into their new leg holster and conceal it by moving the surrounding plating to cover. It can easily be revealed at the will of the droid just by thinking about making it open. A useful augment when needing to sneak or quickly draw an unsuspecting weapon on an opponent.

✦ Magnetic Holster
A useful utility for those of the Vigour role. The Magnetic Holster allows for those who are capable of wielding small energy weapons, such as pistols and zappers, to quickly put away their sidearms at ease, with no need of a real holster. Furthermore, the Magnetic Holster makes it easier to charge said small energy weapons. Holstering an energy pistol or a zapper will gradually charge the weapon. Keep in mind, won't charge it at an instant, but since your sidearm would most likely be holstered most of the time, it's always there, at a hundred percent charge at the ready, at your convenience.

This classification of Workshop Augmentations are just for a bit of fun to be had. They hold no significance compared to the other augments, they're just here for people to have laugh.

Should a droid ever need to dispense Unimata's famous Droidicol, now they can do it on demand! This augment will give a droid an extremely large barrel of Droidicol that is cooled with a regulated temperature device. They can activate the barrel at will to dispense as much Droidicol as they want!

THIS REAL RAD AUGMENTATION IS GONNA TURN YOU INTO THE COOLEST KID ON THE BLOCK!! The SK8ER!!!™ puts a set of wheels to your feet, allowing for quick redeployment and awesome sliding. Essentially a pair of epic rollerblades on your feet. Not only will this allow you do sick tricks and rad flips, when going downhill on a slope you'll zoom faster than anyone else in your crew. The SK8ER!!!™ is, if not, the raddest augmentation out there B)
