Executive Board

The ASUP President represents the student body in all relevant social, cultural, and academic matters.  The President meets regularly with regents, administrators, and faculty to keep them informed with ASUP.

The ASUP Vice President serves as a representative of the students and a liaison between ASUP and student leaders. The Vice President is the head of the elections committee, manages, and oversees the ASUP Services.

The Director of Finance is directly responsible for the disbursement of all ASUP funds at the direction of the Senate, monitors all ASUP allocations and underwrites, serves as the chair of the Financial Management Board, and promotes financial literacy among the student body.

The Director of Communications records the minutes at all senate meetings and distributes them, manages outward communication between ASUP and the student body, faculty, and staff at the University of Portland. Other duties include managing the social media accounts and website, overseeing ADvantage, and chairing the Communications Committee.

The Campus Program Board Director holds responsibility for non-club sponsored ASUP activities and programs, works with the Office of Student Activities to develop, plan, and coordinate activities, and serves as Chair of the Campus Programming Board.

The Speaker of the Senate presides over all Senate Meetings, is in charge of all Senator training and Senate retreats, serves as an ex-officio member of all senate standing committees, and works with Vice President to appoint all senate members to a standing committees.
