Aspen Meadows HOA Board Meetings
The Board of Directors meets once a month (or when needed) to take care of HOA business. These are working meetings, not open discussion time for everyone.
Who decides what?
Architectural Control Committee (ACC) – Only the three officers (President, Vice President, and Secretary/Treasurer) decide on house changes, fences, sheds, paint colors, etc.
Full Board (all 5 of us) – We decide on money, irrigation, common areas, and most day-to-day HOA business. We need a majority of the Board to agree.
All homeowners – Big changes (like changing the rules or special assessments) need a vote from the neighborhood (a certain number of homeowners must be present or vote).
How we run the meetings
The President is in charge of the meeting.
We follow a written list of topics (called an agenda).
We use simple, fair meeting rules so everyone gets a turn and things stay on track.
Homeowners may attend and listen, but they only speak when the Board opens the floor for comments (usually at the end, for a short time).
Meetings are run this way so we stay fair, efficient, and follow only our own CC&Rs and By-Laws.
