Describe artifact that was used as the example for the standard
I chose my student teaching weekly schedule to use as my artifact for standard seven. This is a detailed schedule that is from Wednesday’s to the following Tuesday’s. I have included each subject and timeframe for everyday. Under each day for each subject I included each topic, story, or activity for that subject area, and specifying if it is in a small group or not. At the very bottom of every schedule I include any special events, I identify a satisfying experience from the week, I reflect on the areas I have improved on, and reflect on areas I can improve on weekly.
Give a rationale on why this artifact is appropriate
This artifact is appropriate because it demonstrates my ability to understand about planning instruction that supports the curriculum learning goals. A written out weekly schedule sets a standard for a daily schedule and routine for both myself and my teaching and the students learning. All small groups in the weekly schedule are targeted to support students at every level meet purposeful learning goals.
