For my Level 1 Fieldwork for the Fall Semester, I was placed at Harrison Pointe Healthcare and Rehabilitation in Ogden, Utah. The facility was at full capacity at 50 beds for my entire rotation. The clients varied in age, anywhere from 18+, and also consisted of a wide variety of physical dysfunctions. During my time there, the youngest client that I observed was 47, and the oldest was 102. I learned how to interact with other practitioners and patients. I loved my fieldwork educator, Lindsey. She taught me so much from billing to reading lab reports to planning interventions. This experience reminded me of why I chose to be in this field in the first place. It was exciting to be able to participate in interventions and apply the concepts that I was learning about in class to my fieldwork. I am thoroughly grateful for my time at Harrison Pointe and can not wait to get started at my next placement location.
