Throughout this portfolio, both Moodle and Google Sites played important but different roles in my learning process. Moodle was more structured and academic, helping me stay organized with assignments, readings, and deadlines, while Google Sites allowed me to be more creative and reflective by designing and presenting my work in a more personal way. I found that Moodle supported my discipline, but Google Sites helped me better connect all the themes we studied. Each topic contributed to a deeper understanding of culture and communication: diversity in translation showed me the importance of adapting meaning across cultures; Spain’s culture helped me see how traditions and regional differences influence communication; the movie analysis of Crash revealed how bias affects everyday interactions; perspectives on marriage demonstrated how cultural values shape social institutions; bias in digital identity made me aware of how technology can reinforce stereotypes; song adaptation taught me how emotion and meaning must be preserved across languages; and the multicultural story highlighted the importance of empathy and coexistence in diverse societies. Among all the projects, the most interesting for me were the movie analysis and the multicultural story, because they connected theory with real-life situations and made the learning more meaningful.
A lo largo de este portafolio, tanto Moodle como Google Sites tuvieron roles importantes pero diferentes en mi proceso de aprendizaje. Moodle fue más estructurado y académico, ayudándome a mantenerme organizada con tareas, lecturas y fechas límite, mientras que Google Sites me permitió ser más creativa y reflexiva al diseñar y presentar mi trabajo de forma más personal. Considero que Moodle fortaleció mi disciplina, pero Google Sites me ayudó a conectar mejor todos los temas vistos. Cada tema dejó una conclusión importante: la diversidad en la traducción me enseñó a adaptar el significado según el contexto cultural; la cultura de España me mostró cómo las tradiciones y regiones influyen en la comunicación; el análisis de Crash evidenció cómo los prejuicios impactan las relaciones humanas; las diferentes visiones del matrimonio reflejan los valores culturales de cada sociedad; el sesgo en la identidad digital me hizo consciente del impacto de la tecnología en la percepción social; la adaptación de canciones resaltó la importancia de mantener la emoción y el sentido original; y la historia multicultural destacó el valor de la empatía y la convivencia. Como sugerencia, recomendaría incluir más actividades interactivas o colaborativas, ya que esto podría enriquecer el aprendizaje y hacerlo más dinámico.
