UKULELE
Ukulele is deeply rooted in Ashford's PreK-8 curriculum. Students are formally introduced to ukulele in 5th grade, learning basic technique, simple chord progressions, and the history of the instrument. Students continue with ukulele in 6th grade and beyond, further developing their technique through fingerpicking, as well as broadening their understanding of Hawaiian and Polynesian culture.
