Time Change Winter Concert

Dear Ashford Music Department Families,

We are thrilled to invite you to our annual Winter Concert and wanted to reach out about a scheduling conflict we were made aware of that impacts Ashford families. 

This year, E.O. Smith's music department has the exciting opportunity to host their winter concert at UCONN’s Jorgensen Center for the Performing Arts. Performing at Jorgensen is a wonderful opportunity; however, the only date available was Thursday, December 11th. E.O. Smith later realized that this conflicted with the Ashford School music concert, which had already been scheduled.

To accommodate families with musicians in both schools, Ashford and E.O. Smith have adjusted their concert times as follows:

Ashford School Concert: 6:00 PM – Ashford School
E.O. Smith Winter Celebration Concert: 8:00 PM – Jorgensen Center for the Performing Arts

Ashford performers should arrive at Ashford School at 5:15 and the Ashford School concert will begin promptly at 6:00pm, finishing around 7:00pm. 

We’d like to thank our colleagues at E.O. Smith for their flexibility and willingness to adjust to support all of our students. Looking ahead, we will continue coordinating with our partner schools to avoid future scheduling conflicts whenever possible.
