Getting Started - grades 6-8

Middle school aged kids like to choose their subjects.  Be sure to ask them what they want to learn, and find a way to work it in!  Most kids this age are more resistant to being told what to do, and if they have been having a hard time at school, they'll need lots of freedom to relax and learn to enjoy learning again.  Remember, there is no "behind"; there is no "right" set of knowledge.  Starting with their interests and adding in other things is a great way to start.
