Hey, I'm Xiaohan, a late-stage Homo sapiens with a positive nihilistic streak.
I enjoy observing everything around me, including humans (of course, not in a creepy way). I love photography, capturing sounds, crafting jewelry from gems and metals, and creating specimens. I document and observe those trivial, mundane, and easily overlooked little things. For instance, a maintenance worker with half of his head poking out from a manhole cover, or the rusted traces of a seaside pipe pile, eroded by seawater and now sprouting algae.
I love being around plants, animals, and nature; interacting with them is simpler and purer. But don't get me wrong, interacting with humans is equally fascinating, but as a top-tier introvert, my social battery dies in about three minutes.
Everything related to art, the humanities, and science acts like a black hole to me. Right now, I am most fascinated by cognitive neuroscience and brain-computer interfaces. Maybe one day humans will be able to communicate directly with brainwaves. Who knows?
