HYCOM-CICE sea ice volume

All images and data below are calculated from the images on the US Navy HYCOM-CICE website.  The sea ice volume graphs are calculated using pixel counting. 

The graphs below only use data from 2018 onward.  Data for 2014-2017 are also available, but those are based on older versions of the model, which may not be comparable to the current version.

These graphics are updated twice per month, at the same time as the PIOMAS graphics.
