CryoSat-SMOS regional sea ice volume graphs

All images and data below are calculated from the CryoSat-SMOS merged sea ice thickness gridded data provided by the Alfred Wegener Institute. 

These data are only available during the freezing season from mid-October to mid-April.

The data for the 2025/2026 freezing season are preliminary and may be revised later.  

The data for 2025/2026 use a new version (v300) than the previous years (v206), so please take the comparisons with caution. 

Each daily image covers a 7-day period, which is labeled with the midpoint of the interval.  E.g. the 28 Oct 2025 image corresponds to the 7-day period from 25 to 31 October.
