Through Big Picture, I have had the opportunity to go out on internships with various motorsport teams, where I have gained invaluable hands-on knowledge and made numerous connections with influential people in the motorsport industry.
I have had an internship at MARC Cars Australia one day a week in their workshop for over 2.5 years. Over this time I have also worked at over 20 race events with the team.
I have done multiple spells of works experience with Triple Eight Race Engineering, usually on a one week per term basis. I have also worked as a number 3 mechanic on their Super2 team.
I worked closely with Angus and Craig from Trakwell Racing to tailor my previous Senior Thesis Project to benefit both myself and the team.
I have had the opportunity to travel to Sydney for a weeklong internship with the University of New South Wales' (UNSW) Sunswift Racing Team.
Over the past 3 years, I have attended over 35 race events/ test days, all of which for work/internship.
The exact number is 40, split between 31 race events and 9 test days. That's well over 100 days at a racetrack since I started Big Picture!
