Laboratory experiments are a required part of the APSC 2223/COMP 2203 course.
Labs are done in pairs and one report is submitted per group.
Lab reports are due at the beginning of your next lab.
Plagiarism or duplication of lab reports will result in a mark of zero for all reports involved.
It is strongly recommended that the results and conclusions part be discussed by the group in the lab prior to departure.
Failure to submit a report on time will result in a mark of zero for all members of the group.
All sections other than the prelab of your report must be typed and printed unless otherwise noted.
Before coming to the lab, each group must do the prelab and bring it to the lab.
The lab report is evaluated out of a maximum of 10 points, marked as follows:
Title page[1]: University, course, and lab name, date performed, and submitted, names, IDs and Lab Section # of students in the group.
Problem[1]: Problem statement as provided for the lab.
Prelab[2]: Complete all the sections of the Prelab , one per group. Staple this to the end of your hardcopy submission.
Results[4]: In a hardware experiment, get the instructor to check your set up before turning power on. In a simulation experiment, get the instructor to view your simulated circuit and the circuit and timing diagrams in your report. In both cases, the instructor will sign the results you documented and include a note of how successful your lab was.
NOTE: It is OK for your expectations and your findings to disagree but you must explain the discrepancy.
Conclusions[2]: Did you achieve what you set out to do? Does the theory hold true? Do you have any comments on the experiment?
