Exhibit 2

Background Information:

  • For this exhibit I incorporated many different skills and design principles I can do using Adobe programs.

Design:

  • Contrast: I added white squares behind the 2 smaller pictures so that they stand out more. Also, by leaving the main photo bigger vs. the 2 smaller pictures it creates contrast in the design.

  • Repetition: I used repetition by using the brushed hearts on each picture and used the colors from her shirt as a color pallet. I also found a font style that matched the style of the hearts.

  • Alignment: I used a left flush for the 2 smaller pictures and right flush for her name and date.

  • Proximity: I kept the brushed hearts close in proximity to each picture for proximity.

Skills Used:

  • Adobe Bridge: I took about 30 different pictures and was able to sort and pick what picture I wanted to use.

  • Adobe Camera Raw:I enhanced the photos by adjusting the exposure, contrast, whites, vibrance and saturation

  • Adobe Photoshop:

    • Adjusted the picture with the crop tool.

    • Used the rectangular tool to make the pictures pop.

    • Created the layout of the design in Photoshop by using rectangular shapes, changing the opacity on the rectangular shapes.

    • Fixed some dark veins on her forehead with the spot healing brush.

    • Got rid of the peep hole in the door using content-aware fill.

    • Used photoshop brushes to add the heart design elements.

Revisions:

  • I added the maroon strip to the left of the layout

  • I used the clone stamp tool to add more of the blue door to her left elbow, so it wasn't as close to the edge as it was.
