Protective Agent Firearms Course (Live Fire)

Cost - $475

Course Description:

2 Days (6 hours each day for a total of 12 hours of professional training)

Hourly Distribution (per day): 0900 – 1600 w/ a lunch break 1200-1300.

Day one start time 0830 for pass/ fail qualification.

Facilities: Outdoor (remote) range with overhead cover available. Toilet facilities on site. No potable water.

Qualification: A score of 45 or better on the Wilson 5×5 (See button below for details)

Firearm: Pistol (semi-auto or revolver – no full auto permitted (ex. G18) in this course.

Requirements:

Must be over 21 years of age with a valid ID (driver’s license).

On demand shooting performance requirement of a score of 45 or better on the Wilson 5×5 Drill. As this is not a basic handgun course, a score of 45 is the LOWEST acceptable skill level allowable to ensure the safety and quality of training for all participants.

NOTE: If you cannot shoot a score of 45 or better on demand then you DO NOT meet the attendee requirements for this program of instruction.

NO EXCEPTIONS! If you fail, you WILL NOT be allowed to shoot but may take the course using an inert firearm replica such as a blue gun, SIRT, airsoft or other similar non-firing replica).

Be sure you can pass ON DEMAND with a score of 45 or better!!!

What to expect:

Qualification on the morning of day one (yes, you MUST pass the Wilson 5×5 Drill with a minimum score of 45 to demonstrate safe gun handling, basic marksmanship and ability to follow range commands).

Brief lecture, demonstration, practical familiarization exercises (mostly hands-on), information-based training and physical activity.

Learn the skills and the knowledge of an armed protective agent. Designed for the seasoned/ intermediate level shooter – this is NOT a square-range shooting course – this IS a 360 professional hands-on protective services approach to doing what it takes to get yourself and your protectee(s) immediately out of trouble and to safety.

Applicable on the job, at home, in your car and while traveling, this IS an opportunity for you to take home field-tested “bread and butter” techniques, sustainment drills and proven tactics.

Course content includes:

• The fundamentals of Protective Intelligence

• Attack Recognition

• Threat Assessment and appropriate armed response How to move yourself and your protectee(s) to and from controlled/ uncontrolled Areas

• Concealed Carry immediate Access and Rapid Deployment

• Asymmetric Firing Positions

• Handgun Defense against contact-range Edged Weapon and Impact Weapon attacks

• Threat Engagement in both open and confined areas including vehicles

• Confronting Multiple Attackers

• Real-world Scenarios (single/ multiple threats 360 approach)

• Screening, Walking formations (teams and individual) Multiple position threat engagement

• Managing the fateful Injury/ Distance liability gap Cover and Evacuation

• Hostage Escape

• Armed defense against single and multiple assailants with protective movement.

What to Bring:

• Wear what you normally wear.

• Notebooks (or notepads) are very welcome.

• Still photos and limited video (with approval) OK.

• Attendees must bring traditional range kit to include:

• Duty/ off-duty carry pistol & holster

• mag pouches

• 3 magazines

• eye and ear protection

• ball cap

• 500 rds of TMJ/ FMJ ball ammo

• range cleaning gear.

Knee and elbow protection are optional as there will be no kneeling or ground fighting positions covered in this training program.

Standard factory or reloaded ammunition is allowed.
