Be Your Own Guardian Angel! Paratus-Vilgilantes-Fortis
A1TG Surviving Active Violent Encounters (S.A.V.E.) - 8 Hour or 16 Hour
This course was developed for the private citizen in response to the all too frequent violent events perpetrated on the unarmed and unsuspecting public. “Active Shooter” events have taken place in schools, the workplace, malls, movie theaters, public meetings and night clubs. Bomb incidents have taken place in government buildings, the Boston Marathon and others.
The two major lessons learned from all these events are this:
1. The first responders, Police, Fire and EMS, may not be there in time to save you due to their delayed response.
2. YOU, the private citizen, need to take responsibility for your own safety.
This class focuses on the concepts, principles and tactics designed to increase your odds of survival during an on-going, life-threatening event like an active shooter. This class focuses on an unarmed response to a violent event; however, the course can be tailored to clients who carry a concealed handgun.
The class will also address the following:
Brief history of active shooter events
Concepts of Avoid-Mitigate-Defend (Copyright GRS)
The Concept of Moving off the “X”
Individual Movement techniques
